Sidecars provide great action, more like Formula 1 cars.
You can always depend on the sidecars to provide entertainment. Riding inches from the ground, definitely not for the faint of heart!

PETITION TO SIGN FOR NEW TRACK AT WAGGA

With the closing of Oran Park and delays in Eastern Creek upgrades and subsequent cancellation of 2 rounds this year, the need for a new track in NSW is even more urgent. Please support the Wagga Wagga track development proposal by signing the petition at teh link below - closing date is May 10th so please do so straight away and pass on to anyone you know.

Keith Higgs is now at home and even managing a couple of days a week in the office.
Keith broke both ankles in his horror crash at Turn 9 at BSFOS, Keith would like to thank all the people that have visited him and send 'get well soon' wishes etc. He is hoping to be able to start getting back on his feet during June and until then is wheelchair bound

EVEN WORSE NEWS
Now Eastern Creek have also cancelled round three due to be held on July 8th. The circuit will still not be ready we are told. This is completely outside our control. We apologise for this lack of racing opportunity.

St George are running some meetings during this period as are Sportsman Club of Queensland. Both clubs race dates have been added to the PCRA calendar that you can down load by clicking on the link below. NB as PCRA is an 'invited' club of St George, it means you dont need to become a St George member to enter their meetings.

BAD NEWS
Due to circumstances beyond our control, round 2 at Eastern Creek is CANCELLED. The modifications to the track and new pit area are not going to ready in time, largely due to the weather, and the circuit owners have had to cancel the meeting. NB The BSFoS is NOT AFFECTED as it uses the existing pits

To all Riders

When completing your race entries, please ensure you enter your bike in the RIGHT class and race. Do not assume Jan will sort it out. If you dont know which class you bike is in, contact someone on the committee. This is especially important for P6 / Pre Modern riders and Buckets.
Thank you

Also note, you can not cross enter a P6 bike into Pre Modern. By mistake we allowed that at round 1 but this will not be allowed in future, and the round 1 PM results will be changed to remove the P6 bikes from the points.
Cross entering is only allowed within the same 'period' by moving up a capacity class.

TROPHIES

It is important that if you win a trophy, that you stay behind and collect it at the presentation OR nominate someone to do that for you please.

If neither of those are possible, get along to see Ken Lindsay and pick it up early.

We will not be holding onto them after the races, any uncollected trophies will be recycled to the next event.

Changes to P6 /  Pre Modern Rules for 2012 and which bikes are running in which races in 2012 (not incorporated in to Feb 4th Supp Regs but will be applied via final instructions)

CHANGES to GCRs for 2012

Boys and Girls...there are some changes to the rules you need to be aware of!
Firstly P6 cut off is now 31/12/1990..a year later so by inference our Pre Modern rules will need to start a year later on 1/1/1991.  Make sure you enter the right races if you have a 1990 bike.

Secondly, on all P4/P5 bikes pressurised oil lines connections / joints must use compression or swauged connectors - no more jubilee clips!! You will NOT go through scrutineering with jubilee clips on your oil pipes. No exception.

  • If you are buying a helmet, check its rating here first - you dont need to spend hundreds to get 5* protection

Steve King Update

As some of you may know, our race meetings at Wakefield are held under AASA governance rather than MA/MNSW our governing body. This is due to some squabbling and politics between different parties involved with running our sport, and we end up being on the end of it.
Given the lack of race tracks available to us in NSW, we, the PCRA, are between a rock and a hard place. We need to be able run meetings at Wakefield as that is one of only two tracks available, even though AASA does not quite fit in with us as a MNSW affiliated club, and does not have an equivalent rule book to govern our race bikes and historic and modern classes.

To overcome this, and ensure we can run PCRA meetings under AASA with the same rules applying, and with the same insurance cover and all the necessary red tape in place, we have, with MA's express permission, formally adopted the MA/ MNSW MOMs as the PCRA rules. Therefore when you see PCRA Rules referred to in the the Supp Regs for any Wakefield meeting, this really means the MA MOMs. For the records, Rod  Edwards our clerk of the course, has a AASA CotC qualification.

AASA do have their own website and rules, although these are more aimed at running race meetings. You can download their rules from here:
